Recap: New Orleans vs. Golden State

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - David West scored a game-high 19 points to lead the New Orleans Hornets to a 106-103 victory over the Golden State Warriors in the preseason opener for both teams.
Hilton Armstrong added 14 points for the Hornets, who saw Tyson Chandler go down with an ankle injury. Chris Paul chipped in 13 points and six assists while Mike James had 12 points off the bench.
The Hornets are coming off a season in which they reached the Western Conference semifinals before losing to San Antonio.
Marco Belinelli came off the bench to give 14 points for the Warriors, who finished last season with a 48-34 mark. Corey Maggette added 13 points and Al Harrington 11 in defeat. Kelenna Azubuike had 12 points.
Anthony Morrow had a chance to send the game into overtime, but his three- point attempt was off the mark as time expired.
