Recap: Orlando vs. Charlotte

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Dwight Howard recorded a game-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Orlando crushed Charlotte, 118-80, in the preseason opener for both clubs.

Rashard Lewis added 17 points and four assists for the Magic, who finished tops in the Southeast Division with a 52-30 record. Mickael Pietrus scored 13 points while J.J. Redick poured in 12 off the bench.

Gerald Wallace had 18 points and a game-best 11 boards for the Bobcats, who went 32-50 a year ago. Jason Richardson contributed 15 points while Raymond Felton led Charlotte with five assists.

Orlando effectively wrapped up the game by holding the Bobcats to nine first- quarter points while racing out to a 31-point advantage. The Magic never trailed and Charlotte only matched the home team once, with 29 points in the third period.

The minute crunch is much worse than last year. Go ahead and try to stick that Martell Webster slice back into the lineup. It’s pretty much impossible. Do you want Batum to play more than 14 minutes a game? Me too.

Last year when I posted the first pie chart, most people came to the conclusion that Jack and Jones were the most likely to leave the team. Looking at this new chart I would say Outlaw and Frye have the biggest chance of getting the boot, but maybe not both of them. It also seems pretty clear that we have way too many point guards.
